Cornelis in Utrecht: Coffee, Food and Room.

cornelis bed breakfast exterior 1Cornelis is the place you won’t find right away, but when you know it you’ll keep coming. This very modern coffee place is hiding behind an old facade of a grocery store in Wittevrouwen. Bass and Dave – the owners – opened the doors of Cornelis not long ago, but the word about the good coffee and cozy atmosphere already travels around town.
At Cornelis they serve breakfast, simple lunch or aromatic teas and coffee. This is actually one of the few places in Utrecht where you can have breakfast before work (they open at 8AM). Start your day with some yoghurt with organic muesli, croissants and freshly squeezed juices.  Or drop by for their home baked cakes and cookies with a cup of coffee made with Bocca beans. If this is not enough, you can buy some delicious salad dressings, special herbs, chocolates and more and even order everything to-go with a call in advance if you don’t want to wait while your order is being prepared.
On top of it all Cornelis is also a one-room hotel. For €115 per night you can stay in a very cute apartment with your own kitchen and garden just 5 minutes away by bike from Dom Tower.
